FARMINGTON – The University of Maine at Farmington’s Center for Human Development will sponsor Maine’s only education-specific job fair next week.
It will be 1 to 4 p.m. Monday, April 26, in Dearborn Gymnasium on the UMF campus.
The job fair is free and open to all UMF graduating seniors and UMF alumni, as well as to any certified or certifiable teacher candidates from the public.
More than 30 schools from across Maine and other states have signed up to send recruiting representatives to attend the fair. A complete list is available online at: http://departments.umf.maine.edu/~chd/Recruiting/Educafair.htm
Details are being added as they become available.
Job seekers are welcome to bring resumes and attend dressed to interview. Attendees must register in advance by contacting program coordinator Sue Ronald at 778-7029 or ronald@maine.edu
Since the annual UMF Education Job Fair is Maine’s only career fair targeted specifically to prospective teachers, the popular event typically draws recruiters from across the nation, according to the school. Often times, UMF graduating seniors are interviewed and offered jobs on the spot.
