WELLESLEY, Mass. (AP) – The president of Babson College says the school is on track to reopen Wednesday morning following an outbreak of a norovirus.
The campus in Wellesley was shut down for several days after about 100 students and staff became sick. The illness causes severe nausea and vomiting but is generally not life threatening.
College president Leonard Schlesinger said Monday that visits and phone calls by students to Health Services have declined, as have reports of sickness among staff and faculty.
Schlesinger said the school is continuing with “enhanced cleaning” of all dorms and other campus buildings.
Babson officials have not determined the source of the outbreak, but town health inspectors do not believe it’s food related.
