BROCKTON, Mass. (AP) – A Boston deputy fire chief is facing a second rape charge after another alleged victim came forward to Brockton police.
The Plymouth County District Attorney’s office said 51-year-old Peter Pearson was arrested by Brockton police on Friday night at his home in East Bridgewater.
Pearson was free on bail after pleading not guilty Wednesday to stalking and raping a woman at gunpoint in Brockton while posing as a state trooper.
Authorities said a second woman came forward and made identical charges.
Pearson is being held in Brockton and will be arraigned on Monday on charges including two counts of aggravated rape, one count of kidnapping for sexual intercourse and one count of impersonating a police officer.
Pearson is on unpaid leave from the Boston Fire Department.
