CONCORD, N.H. (AP) – A convicted sex offender listed as one of New Hampshire’s most wanted fugitives has been captured in Florida.

U.S. Attorney Stephen Monier says Michael Defosses, 41, was caught in Miami, where he had been living in homeless shelters under a false name.

Defosses fled the state early last year after being released from jail on one charge. He was wanted in Merrimack County for failing to appear in court on a sexual assault charge and in Manchester for not registering as a sex offender.
