BOSTON (AP) – One US Airways employee was hurt when a wheel of a jet bridge, used to connect aircraft to terminal, collapsed at Logan International Airport on Wednesday, officials said.
The accident occurred shortly after US Airways Flight 944 from Philadelphia arrived at about 10 a.m., said Massport spokesman Phil Orlandella.
As passengers got off the plane – onto the jet bridge at Gate 6 of Terminal B – at least one wheel collapsed, Orlandella said.
The worker, who was below on the ramp, reported shoulder pain and was brought to Boston Medical Center. His name was not released.
There were 100 passengers on the flight, along with five crew members.
There appeared to be minor damage to the US Airways airbus, Orlandella said.
