David Marcel Pelletier
1958 – 2009
AUBURN — David Marcel Pelletier, 51, of Auburn died on Nov. 28, after his courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Lewiston, April 1, 1958, the son of Roland and Marcella Pelletier. He attended Auburn schools and graduated from Edward Little High School in 1976. For most of his life, he worked in the printing business as a press operator.
He was blessed with many talents and interests which included music, precision woodworking, riding his motorcycle on a warm sunny day and fishing at a one of his favorite brookside spots.
Dave played keyboard in the following bands beginning as a teenager: Diane and the 3 D’s, Odyssey, Feelings, Living Waters, Illusion, Jumpstart, Care, Stagecoach, Roadhouse and most recently Forefront. Not only did he play keyboard, but loved to add his special touch with harmonica, tambourine and cowbell. Many friendships were created through the years from his music.
He loved to spend hours in his workshop either working on a project for himself, a friend, or family member. He would love to make things only to give them away as gifts. There are few people who knew him that didn’t have one of his masterpieces in their home. He strived for perfection which enabled him to do amazing work.
He had an infectious smile which drew people to him. He was truly loved and touched so many with his kind heart. He was a wonderful pepere to his grandson Jullian who loved him so. Although he was taken from us too soon he will never be forgotten and will remain in our hearts forever.
He sadly leaves behind his wife of 17 years, Nancy of Auburn; his son, Ryan Brooks of Portland; stepdaughters, Sheena Aston of Harpswell and Natasha Aston of Poland; grandson, Jullian Grover; his parents, Roland and Marcella Pelletier of Lewiston; sister, Diane Danforth and husband, Wayne, of Dexter; along with their children, Lynn, Tracy, Randi, Carly, Lexi, Alyssa, Bronwyn and Shaylah; twin brother, Daniel and wife, Joan, of Lewiston; along with their children, Jeremy, Timothy and Katie; brother, Michael and his wife, Sonia, of Livermore with their children, Mason, Amia and Shane; sister, Rachel Haines and her husband, James, of Auburn and their son, Shawn; his in-laws, Lionel Guay Jr. and his wife, June, of Lewiston; mother-in-law, Lorraine Ricker of Poland; brother-in-law, Lionel Guay III of Litchfield along with his children, Ashley and Caitlin.
