LITCHFIELD, N.H. (AP) -A man and a woman were arrested Thursday after a man reported he was kidnapped, stripped of his clothes and robbed at gunpoint.
Tommy Rogers and Ophelia Burnett, both 20, were charged with criminal liability to kidnap a 21-year-old man at a Manchester restaurant.
“As the victim was leaving, he was abducted at gunpoint by at least two individuals. He was thrust into a car and brought to Litchfield,” Sgt. Mark Fowke said.
Police said the victim was held at gunpoint in a car and that during the drive to Litchfield he was robbed and stripped.
Police said Rogers and Burnett drove to a vacant construction site and threw the man into a trash bin. The man told police that when he tried to run, several gunshots were fired.
“He was naked and calling for help,” Litchfield Chief Joseph O’Brien said.
Police said the man remembered the car’s license plate and it was pulled over in Manchester.
Police said the suspects and the man were acquainted vaguely.
