WARREN, Vt. (AP) – Construction has begun on a long-delayed development project at the base of the Sugarbush Resort’s Lincoln Peak area.
A 60-unit hotel and a guest services building are the first phase of a major face-lift aimed at revitalizing the Mad River Valley resort.
The first project is a 46-thousand-square-foot building that will consolidate several ski area services under one roof.
It will include the resort’s ski and ride school, guest services and day care center. The building is scheduled to be open this winter.
Work also will start on the resort’s base-area hotel, a barn-style structure called Clay Brook at Sugarbush.
The 132-thousand-square-foot building includes a fitness center and an outdoor heated pool. Clay Brook is scheduled to open next year.
