GRANTHAM, N.H. (AP) – An elderly Grantham couple’s death has been ruled a murder-suicide.

The state medical examiner finished autopsies Sunday on Stephen Rudnai, 80, and Valerie Rudnai, 75.

Stephen Rudnai shot his wife, then turned the gun on himself Saturday, investigators said. The couple had been coping with several health problems, police said.

Authorities went to their home Saturday afternoon after a relative visited to check on the couple, but found them dead.

The Attorney General’s office, State Police and Grantham Police investigated the deaths.
