LACONIA, N.H. (AP) – Police and Highway Patrol officers are cracking down on noisy motorcycles in Laconia this summer.
Officers manning a noise checkpoint Saturday handed out 41 summons and 27 warning to motorcycle riders in a four-hour period. Most of the tickets were given to riders with noisy mufflers and expired inspections, officers said.
Authorities will be setting up checkpoints around the city all summer.
