Vickie Deschenes of Lewiston gets some fresh air Wednesday in Lewiston. She attached the flowers to her motorized wheelchair to grab attention in traffic. “I don’t want to get hit,” said Deschenes, who suffers from osteoarthritis and five bad discs in her back. She received the chair in December after “four years of fighting to get one. I have been stuck in the house the last two years,” she said, but not gets out whenever she can.
