LISBON – A 44-year-old local woman was arrested on a charge of operating under the influence, after a car crash Tuesday on Route 9 in Lisbon Falls.

Investigating officer, Detective Bill Tapley, said Tonilee Baker was driving south toward Frost Hill Avenue when she lost control, went off the right shoulder and struck a tree. The accident was near 235 Ridge Road, which is Route 9.

About the same time Tapley was headed to the scene, Maine State Police and Sabattus police were looking for the car after receiving citizen complaints of it being driven erratically.

Baker escaped with minor injuries, Tapley said. She was booked at the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department.

Her 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier was totaled in the 10:28 a.m. crash.
