GREENE – Three of four young men arrested in connection with an alleged burglary on Route 22 on Monday were released on bail Tuesday, police said.
Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department officers responded to an apartment building just before 6 p.m. Monday when tenant Cyril Anduze reported that his apartment had been broken into and more than $2,500 worth of items taken.
An investigation into the reported burglary resulted in the arrests of:
• Brandon Pelletier, 18, of Turner;
• Derek Proctor, 20, of Leeds;
• David Dakin, 19, of Canton; and
• Anthony Gallant, 21, of Canton.
All were taken to the Androscoggin County Jail, where they remained overnight, each charged with a single count of burglary and held on $2,500 bail. Pelletier, Dakin and Gallant posted bail; Proctor was still in jail as of Tuesday night. The four are scheduled to make their first appearance in 8th District Court on Thursday, April 30.
According to police, the incident was under investigation and more arrests are possible. About $1,600 worth of property had been recovered.
