Oswald Campbell, left, looks over the damage in his garage at 58 Weston Road with Turner Fire Department’s safety officer Roland Lajoie Friday afternoon. Approximately $1,000 damage was done to the structure. It is believed the cause was electrical wiring. The call came into Turner Rescue at 12:37 p.m. Campbell’s brother-in-law, Harry Richardson, discovered the fire. “He (Richardson) drove past and thought he saw what was snow blowing around,” said Pat Brown, a friend of Campbell’s. “But he realized it was smoke and started shoveling snow onto the fire.” A small store attached to the garage was undamaged, but a Craftsman tool box was badly scorched and an air compressor was destroyed.
