TURNER – Police are seeking vandals who spray-painted graffiti on the high school and middle school over the weekend.

State Police Trooper Michael Chavez said an official at Tripp Middle School contacted police Monday to report a custodian had discovered a half-dozen symbols painted on the back wall of the school.

Most read: “Bliss,” with variations in color and style. An official at Leavitt Area High School found graffiti on the front left wall of that school Monday evening. It read in part, “Move on,” Chavez said. He said the symbols at both schools appear to have been painted by the same person or people.

Custodial staff cleaned up the graffiti by the end of Tuesday, Chavez said.

Authorities have identified juvenile suspects in the case and hope to bring charges soon, Chavez said. A tip led police to a bridge near the high school where the paint colors on graffiti there appeared similar to the color of the graffiti at the schools, he said.
