ELK CITY, Okla. – A man who spent the first years of his life in Lewiston was killed last month in a car crash.
Shannon Troy Ayo, 34, died June 22 after his car struck a tree a few miles from his home in Elk City, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol. He died at the scene.
Ayo, an oil field supervisor, moved to Lewiston from Prairieville, La. as a child and went to schools in Lewiston and Auburn before moving in his early teens back to Louisiana, according to his obituary.
Ayo’s mother, Rachel, lives in Sabattus and his grandmother in Lewiston. Funeral services were held last month in Oklahoma.
The crash is still being investigated.
