The first of three summer races to benefit the YMCA and L/A Trails will be held Saturday morning, with runners going off from Festival Plaza in Auburn at 8:30 a.m.

Organizers are expecting about 300 runners and walkers to participate in the event, and police will be at designated points along the course to direct traffic, with certain roads closed between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m.

Roads to be closed include: Canal Street from Main to Lisbon streets; Chestnut Street from Oxford to Lisbon streets; Cedar Street from Lincoln to Lisbon streets; Oxford Street from Cross to Cedar streets; and Lincoln Street from Beech to Cedar streets.

The Triple Crown of races will continue with Emily’s Run on Saturday, July 26, at Edward Little High School, and the L/A Trails Bridge Run on Sunday, Aug. 24, with the start/finish line at the Rollodrome in Auburn.
