HENNIKER, N.H. (AP) – Police say a driver speeding away from an officer crashed into another car on Route 202 in Henniker (New Hampshire), and that both drivers are hospitalized.

Police say a Hopkinton officer stopped 25-year-old Justin Oliver of Hillsborough Friday morning, believing he might have been driving a stolen car. Police say Oliver took off, nearly hitting the officer, who gave chase.

With speeds hitting 90 miles an hour on the snowy road, the officer was instructed to break off the chase. Seconds later, Oliver collided with an oncoming car.

Both drivers were trapped in the wreckage and were sent to the hospital with serious injuries.
