MECHANIC FALLS – James Bradley of Mechanic Falls is running as a Democratic candidate for House District 100, which includes Mechanic Falls, Otisfield and Oxford.
Bradley has worked for the University of Southern Maine since 1998, the last six years working at Lewiston-Auburn College in the teacher education program. He is state president of Associated COLT Staff of the Universities of Maine, a union that represents over 1,000 support personnel in the University of Maine System.
Bradley also is municipal chairman of the Mechanic Falls Democratic Town Committee and a member of the Maine Higher Education Council.
“I’m running for the State House because I have a strong desire and commitment to help enhance the lives of Maine’s citizens,” Bradley said in a prepared statement. “I’m an independent Democrat who is tired of the partisan politics in Augusta.”
His priorities are property tax relief, responsible tax reform, affordable quality health care, investing in education and improving the business climate in Maine to create jobs.
