Dear Sun Spotsmeister: I have literally hundreds and hundreds of golf balls and a score of golf shirts that I’ve accumulated over the last year, and I’d like to give them, for free, to a local high school golf team(s). However, as a native upstate New Yorker, I don’t know which schools here have teams, nor do I know any local golf coaches. Might you do what you do so well and give me a contact or two so I can give some kids some free golf balls, which they can promptly lose without fiscal concern. The shirts are all mediums, so my apologies to the small- and large-sized chasers of the sacred white sphere. – Kris Kucera, Lisbon.

Dear Sun Spots: In one of your recent columns, a woman was looking for a typewriter. I no longer use my Smith-Corona portable electric typewriter and would be happy to give it to her. I also have a 12.4 c.f. Kenmore freezer to give away. I have had it for several years, and it still works well. Anyone wishing either of these two items may phone me at 783-7409. Keep up the good work. Your column has proved to be very informative and helpful to your readers. – Ellen Larock, No Town.

Dear Sun Spots: I would like to inform the readers of Sun Spots that our school, Open Door Christian Academy, continues to collect Campbell’s soup labels, Box Tops for Education box tops, Tyson A+ labels from Tyson products, cell phones and used inkjet cartridges. I want to add that Campbell’s has changed their program. We now have to send in the UPCs from their products, but if you have front labels we will still be able to send them in until Dec. 31. So if you have them at home, get them into whatever school you are supporting ASAP so that they will be able to get credit for them. If you choose to help our school, these items may be mailed to or dropped of at Open Door Christian Academy, c/o Pat Holt, 26 Gartley St., Lisbon, ME 04250. I also would like to thank all the Sun Spots readers who have helped us in the past. We are a small school, and any help we get is greatly appreciated. Thanks again. – Pat Holt, Auburn.

Dear Sun Spots: I have three boxes of Reader’s Digest Condensed Books to give away if anyone is interested. The problem is that they must be gone in two weeks, and I hate to take them to the dump. Please call Gerry in Canton at 597-2119. – Geraldine LeBlanc, Canton.
