SABATTUS – When all the votes were sorted and counted Wednesday, incumbent Paul Wayne Loesberg had gained the last available seat on the Board of Selectman.

After a tally Tuesday night left him knotted in a tie, a recount Wednesday showed Loesberg the winner with 317 votes over 313 cast for Stephen Wood. Early vote counts had shown each man with 303 votes.

Also a winner in the election was Mark Duquette, another incumbent who was re-elected to the board Tuesday night.
