MONMOUTH – Police are investigating a spate of weekend vandalism during which houses, a boat and other property were spray painted with graffiti.

Investigators said the spray paint appeared on Saturday in the area of Mike’s Road, which is off Tilson and Cobbossee roads. The taggings appeared in that one neighborhood and police believe an ongoing feud between two groups of people may be behind it.

It was not clear Monday night how much damage had been caused. A boat and at least two houses in the Mike’s Lane neighborhood were scrawled with profanity, according to one victim.

No one had been charged by Monday afternoon but Monmouth police said they were investigating leads.
