WESTBROOK – Maine Metal Products Association Education Fund has announced the scholarship awards for 2007-2008. The fund scholarship awards are given to individuals who have demonstrated an outstanding record and the overall potential to attend an institution of higher learning, majoring in machine trades or related metal working areas.
The 2007 recipients of $1,000 awards are Zachariah Belding of Lovell, UMO; Bradford Hawkes of Westbrook, SMCC; and Ryan Perro of Winslow, CMCC.
Recipients of $750 awards: Jeremy Boutilier of Oakfield, NMCC; Stephanie Boyd of Strong, EMCC; Matthew Dodge of Hallowell, USM; Philip Genthner of Friendship, EMCC; Nicholas Harmon of Calais, EMCC; Erwin McAllister of Abbot, UMO; and Justin McBreairty of New Sweden, NMCC.
Recipients of $450 awards: Richard Bessey of Kingfield, EMCC; Daniel Bordeau of Mexico, SMCC; Nathan Carrier of Dixfield, WCCC; Anthony Collins of Rockport, CMCC; Dillon Conley of Milo, EMCC; Lauren Durgin of Portland, SMCC; Howard Friant of Boothbay Harbor, EMCC; Andrew Harriman of Hermon, EMCC; Brian Lightbody of Kennebunk, EMCC; Brian Mitchell II of Phillips, EMCC; Neil Naples of Portland, SMCC; Trey Rush of Benedicta, NMCC; Nathan Veilleux of Belgrade, UMO.
