Yes, it’s true. Mark Trail, absent from the Sun Journal’s comic pages for several months, makes his triumphant return today.

After months of fielding calls from readers who missed the comic page feature set in the great outdoors, we did some creative thinking and came up with a way to return him to the daily and Sunday lineup.

Here’s how:

Following the death of B.C. creator Johnny Hart, we have decided to eliminate that strip from the Sunday comic section. B.C. only appeared Sundays, not in the daily newspaper.

We have also decided to move Dilbert into the daily business section of the newspaper because, of course, it takes place exclusively in a business setting. The Sunday Dilbert will remain in the Sunday comic package.

While every comic has a following, the one for Mark Trail has been especially persistent, indicating to us the enduring value of the strip.

Thanks to the many readers who contacted us over the past several months, he’s now back in the paper.
