Emily Beaulieu nearly floats out of Shaw’s Supermarket in Lewiston with armloads of toys she collected for needy children. For the second year in a row she has given up her birthday presents, this time setting up collection boxes and penny jars throughout the area. The toys will go to The Toy Box, a project sponsored by Catholic Charities of Maine that works with area fire departments and social service agencies to collect new and used toys for children who have lost their possessions as a result of a tragedy, such as fire.
