MECHANIC FALLS – Voters chose six residents to serve on the town’s charter commission. Selected were Robert Belanger, Gigi Lee, Lou Goulet, Randy Plummer, Gary Purington and Oliver Emery.

As stipulated in the town charter the council will appoint another three residents, bringing the total number on the commission to nine.

After reviewing the charter, the commission will make recommendations on how it should be amended to make it conform with present day needs and practices.

Town’s people will vote on the recommended charter changes next spring.
