Moose collides with car

DURHAM – No injuries were reported after a moose collided with a sport utility vehicle on Hallowell Road on Monday morning.

State Trooper Tyler Stevenson said Tricia Vachon of Lisbon Falls was driving east on Route 9 when a large moose ran into her vehicle. Stevenson estimated damage at $5,000 to the 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe in the 9:30 a.m. mishap.

The moose ran into the woods.
