LEWISTON – Police searched a Webster Street home on Friday and arrested a homeowner on a charge of sexually exploiting minors.

Investigators said 53-year-old Raymond Samson photographed at least two children – a boy and a girl – in sexual poses and kept the pictures at his 299 Webster St. home.

Police who went to Samson’s house Friday night seized three computers, several video tapes and printed photographs as evidence.

Investigators said the photographs were believed to have been taken during the summer of 2003.

They did not elaborate on who was shown in the photographs, although the victims were each said to be under 18 years old.

The case was investigated by the Maine Computer Crimes Task Force, who sent agents to the house about 8 p.m. Friday. Police said a tip led them to Samson as a suspect.

Samson was taken to the Androscoggin County Jail in Auburn and has since been released on $10,000 bail.
