AUBURN – Power outages hit parts of Auburn, Minot and Winthrop Wednesday night.

Central Maine Power Co. crews were responding to the blackouts, which were reported shortly before 10:30 p.m. Much of the area was being pelted by windblown rain at the time.

CMP said the Auburn outages affected streets off Hotel Road, Mount Auburn Avenue, Perkins Ridge Road, Youngs Corner Road, Turner Road and other streets. In Minot, outages extended from Center Minot Hill Road to West Auburn Road, and included Death Valley, Garfield and Jackson roads. Winthrop outages were more isolated.
