LISBON – The Town Council has awarded M.W. Sewall Co. of Bath the contract for installation of new twin boilers at the MTM Community Center on its bid of $43,070
The council also recently awarded Ralph Bard of Lisbon Falls the contract to repair two clogged drain outlets at Beaver Park on his bid of $16,000.
In other business, the council:
• authorized the sale of a town meeting-approved $540,000 bond issue that will pay for a variety of municipal projects;
• accepted a donation form the Sunshine Hill Fund for the recreation department to be used for before- and after-school programs;
• took no action on a request to designate a portion of Edgecomb Road for all-terrain vehicle travel;
• tabled a decision on how to allocate $10,000 among 20 interagencies pending further review by the council.
The council also appointed Lucien Asselin as Civil Constable; Robert Ireton-Hewitt to the Appeals Board; Justin Livdvinaitis and Michel Lahti to the Trail Commission; Jessica Ireton-Hewitt and Ross Cunningham as alternates to the Conservation Commission; and Sandra Levesque as an alternate to the Technology Committee.
