DURHAM – A snowplowing contract was awarded Tuesday night to Larrabee Construction of Durham, the only bidder.

The three-year, $958,741 agreement runs from July 1, 2006, to June 30, 2009.

Clifton Larrabee Sr. has been the plowing contractor for the town for years. He is also the town road commissioner.

His business will be responsible for plowing 69.5 miles and be paid $276,093, $317,493 and $365,155 for the three years.

Besides town officials, six residents attended the special town meeting.
