Officials are seeking more volunteers.
LEWISTON – Mayor Lionel Guay and the City Council have unveiled their appointees to city advisory boards, including the Planning Board, Board of Appeals and Cable TV Advisory Committee. In all, 22 Lewiston people were appointed.
But City Clerk Kathy Montejo is still accepting applications for a full member to serve a five-year term on the Lewiston Planning Board. The city is also accepting applications for 13 spots on the newly created Civic Center Advisory Board. That group will help oversee the Central Maine Civic Center, which the city took control of last week.
Montejo said she will accept applications for the remaining spots until Jan. 29.
“We’ve had a really good response already for the civic center board,” Montejo said. “We’ve had multiple phone calls from people asking for applications, but they haven’t started to filter back in yet.”
Applications are available at the city’s Web site or at the clerk’s office in City Hall.
