LEWISTON – Jane Gilbert, assistant to the commissioner of the Maine Department of Labor, will kick off the second half of the Great Falls Forum 2003-04 season Thursday. She oversees personnel issues and policy development.

Gilbert replaces Laura Fortman, commissioner of the Maine Department of Labor who had to cancel because of another commitment. Gilbert will discuss pay equity, in particular its history as well as the effect of wages on women’s lives here in Maine.
