LEWISTON – The City of Lewiston will hold a public meeting on the Main Street Resurfacing Project at 6 p.m. Monday, April 14, at the Lewiston City Hall Council Chambers, 27 Pine Street.

Preliminary plans will be available for residents to review and comment on.

During the summer of 2003, work will begin on Main Street between the town line and Montello Street. The project will consist of resetting sections of granite curbing and installing new curbing to meet sidewalk ADA approval. The existing roadway will also be ground and a new surface layer of pavement will be installed.

Residents should be aware that periodic delays are expected during construction. In addition, the City of Lewiston will strive to notify residents, with as much notice as possible, of any occurrences that should result in major delays. Patience will be greatly appreciated during the construction.
