No need to drive far for a

university degree in Maine

University College at Rumford / Mexico

University College at Rumford/Mexico brings hundreds of university classes and more than 35 university degrees and certificates close to home for those living in Western Maine. With a full-service Center at 13 Brown Street, Mexico, and ITV sites in Farmington, Rangeley, Bingham, Kingfield, and Livermore Falls, UC at R/M provides personalized student services and high quality academic programs and classes to Maine residents living in Franklin and northern Oxford counties.

Students experience class in a variety of ways: On-site with an instructor in the classroom, Interactive live television lectures, Live video conferencing, Web-based (anytime/anywhere), Hybrid courses, which mix one or more types, and Videostreaming, new this fall, which is an online, web-accessible replay of class lectures that have been delivered on ITV.

The majority of videostreamed classes may be viewed anywhere/any time, which has been tremendously popular with students this summer. (Professors’ policies indicate if students must attend the ITV lecture in person or if they may delay viewing, but even if they must attend class during its live broadcast, students will be able to review lectures by watching a high-quality videostream online.)

Personalized student services at the Rumford Center include professional advising and assistance with the application process, including financial aid, on-site testing, course selections, substitutions, and waivers, creating individually-designed programs, tutoring and more.
