FARMINGTON — A Farmington man faces charges after police responded to a rollover accident Sunday night on Weeks Mills Road.
When police arrived the driver was not in the vehicle, Farmington police secretary Rachel Heseltine said.
Sgt. Shane Cote called for a police tracking dog and as Franklin County Deputy Christopher Chase was getting his dog, Jack, ready, the driver came up to police and admitted he was driving, she said.
Michael Evans, 26, was arrested on charges of operating under the influence with two priors, aggravated operating after habitual revocation and a warrant, she said.
Evans was driving 1998 Mercury registered to his girlfriend, Amanda Rundlett of Farmington, Heseltine said.
An estimate of the damage came to $3,500.
