The Abused Women’s Advocacy project received a $5,000 grant from the TJX Foundation, a foundation which focuses its charitable giving on programs that provide basic-need services to disadvantaged women, children and families in communities in which they do business. AWAP provides emergency shelter, legal advocacy, food and clothing to those individuals in Franklin, Androscoggin or Oxford counties who are seeking safety from domestic violence.
