PORTLAND — The wife of a man convicted of robbing a Lisbon bank last year pleaded guilty Thursday to bank theft.
Denise Krog, 39, of Lisbon appeared in U.S. District Court where a federal judge accepted her plea.
Sentencing will be scheduled for a later date, according to a written release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Krog’s husband, Randy, 32, robbed the Androscoggin Bank in Lisbon Falls in October. His wife, Denise, knew he intended to rob the bank and received and “disposed” of some of the money from the robbery, authorities said.
Randy Krog pleaded guilty to the robbery last month in U.S. District Court. His sentencing will be scheduled later.
Krog was arrested the same day he took about $3,300 from the bank. He was dressed in a hooded sweatshirt and wore a face mask. He reportedly brandished a handgun.
Lisbon Police Chief David Brooks said “excellent police work” led to Krog’s capture. Police recovered some of the money, along with items used to commit the robbery, from a site in Bowdoin where they had been discarded.
Brooks had said others could be charged in connection with the robbery, even though Krog had apparently acted alone.
