Lionel F. Paquette
1935 – 2010
LEWISTON – Lionel F. Paquette, 74, was born in Lewiston on July 23, 1935, the son of the late Alphonse and Victoria (Poulin), and died on Friday, Feb. 26, at Central Maine Medical Center, with his family by his side, following a short illness.
He attended local schools and was formerly employed at Geiger Brothers, and retired after 10 years.
He attended St. Mary’s School and Lewiston High School. He enjoyed playing poker and playing the drums.
Lionel was a past member of the Pastime Club in Lewiston and played in their Drum Core for many years.
He was married to the former Rita L. Bergeron on Nov. 25, 1954, in Lewiston, and enjoyed 55 years together.
Besides his wife of Lewiston, he is survived by three children, Leo of Lisbon Falls, Larry of Lewiston and Rachel St. Clair and her husband, Dan, of Lewiston; three grandchildren, Alex and Nathan St. Clair of Lewiston and Zachary Paquette, also of Lewiston; two brothers, Maurice and his wife, Nancy, of East Hebron and Normand and his wife, Connie, of Auburn.
