The Lewiston Root Cellar, 89 Birch St., has openings for up to 15 children for their Little Sprouts 4-year-old program. Every Tuesday and Thursday from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., children come to the Root Cellar to learn, grow and play in a safe environment. The program is free of charge. To enroll a child in Little Sprouts, visit the Root Cellar for an enrollment form. A completed form is required for each child attending. To qualify, children must live in the area that the Root Cellar serves and cannot already be enrolled in a Head Start or preschool program.
