BRUNSWICK —What may lead to sensational developments is keeping many in this town in suspense now. A few days ago, James Couillard visited his lot in the Catholic cemetery and found that the earth had been disturbed although no member of his family had been buried at that spot. The sexton stated that he had not dug any grave there. The men dug down some distance and found a wooden box resembling a casket. As there is a state law which forbids the exhuming of a body, the box was not opened. Some believe that the investigation may lead to bringing foul play to light.

A deep trench still divides Campus Avenue as a deadline nears for the completion of a tunnel connecting St. Mary’s Hospital with the former Marcotte Nursing Home. But officials are unsure whether the street will be reopened by June 21 as originally specified by the project developer’s Shelter Group Inc.
The contractor, H.E. Callahan Construction, ran into problems moving water mains in the area. By the first of next week, officials hope to know whether the street will be reopened as scheduled.
