WATERVILLE, Maine (AP) — In a show of party unity, Maine Republican gubernatorial nominee Paul LePage has gained the support of the other candidates he defeated in this month’s primary.
LePage was joined by the six other candidates Wednesday on the front steps of Waterville City Hall. All six pledged their support for LePage in the November general election.
LePage, the Waterville mayor, is slated to face Democratic nominee Libby Mitchell and three independents in November.
