Sale and auction

BETHEL — The Bethel Rotary Club’s 23rd annual yard sale and auction will be held on Saturday, June 26, at Telstar High School. The sale will begin at 8 a.m. The auction preview will start at 5:30 p.m., followed by the auction at 6:30 p.m.

Hundreds of items will be available including many gift certificates from local merchants. Refreshments will be available.

Class lunch

RUMFORD — Members of the Stephens High School Class of 1949 will meet for their regular monthly luncheon at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, at the Route 2 Diner in Rumford Center.

Variety show

ANDOVER — People in Action will sponsor a variety show at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at the First Congregational Church. There will be food and drinks for sale and a 50/50 raffle.

Square dance

SOUTH PARIS — The Swingin’ Bears Square Dance Club will hold a graduation ball from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at the Oxford Hills Middle School, Pine Street. Walter Lougee will call easy mainstream for the square dancing. Sandra Burke will cue the round dancing.

Refreshments will be served at intermission. There will be a door prize and 50/50 drawing. Admission is $6 each person. Nondancers are invited to watch at no charge.

Free movies

NORWAY — Every Tuesday night at the Second Congregational Church, UCC, 205 Main St., a G rated movie will be shown in the church parking lot. The refreshment stand will open at 7 p.m. and the film will start at 8 p.m. On Tuesday, June 22, the movie will be “Parent Trap” with Haley Mills. On Tuesday, June 29, “Toy Story” will be screened.

Other upcoming movies will be listed on posters in town. Attendees should bring blankets and lawn chairs. The movie will be cancelled in the event of rain. All are welcome to attend the free event. For more information, contact the church office at 743-2290.
