POLAND SPRING — Act V will bring its repertoire of classic 1950s to 1970s rock ‘n’ roll and pop to All Souls Chapel on Monday, July 5, as part of the Poland Spring Historical Society’s Summer Concert Series.
The trio, made up of Sally Jones, Jeanie Stone and Bob Elliott, will perform from 7 to 8 p.m. in the chapel on the grounds of the Poland Spring Inn.
Jones began her singing career in the 1960s on Cape Cod. She has long been active in theater productions in the Oxford Hills area as both a director and an actor.
Stone’s first performance was in a 1959 production of “HMS Pinafore” at the Norway Opera House. She studied choral music at Westminster College and has been singing in choirs, community choruses and plays ever since.
Elliott traveled the Northeast singing folk music in the 1960s. Since then, he has performed in area clubs and community theater, and sang with Gary Snee’s Express Big Band from 1986 to 1994.
Act V will also perform at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 10, in the park next to the 100 Acre Woods store, as part of the Norway Arts Festival.
