CASCO — The Casco Public Library’s annual summer book sale will start this year at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, at the library in Casco Village on Route 121.

Weather permitting, there will be selections on the lawn in front of the library and many more books, CDs, and videos for sale inside the library. Prices are from 25 cents and up. There will be a selection of hardcover and paperback fiction, children’s and teen books, self-help and inspiration titles, do-it-yourself, art and many Maine related books along with some collectibles and classics.

The book sale will continue each day the library is open, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.  New additions will be made as donations come in.

Proceeds from the sale are used to purchase books, movies and music CDs for the collection and to finance the operation of the library. It is the major fundraiser to support the budget for the library each year.

Donations are always welcome and may be dropped off at the library whenever it is open. The library cannot accept old encyclopedias, old computer manuals, condensed books or anything in poor condition.

For more information, call the library at 627-4541. More information is also available at www.casco.lib.me.us and on Facebook.
