DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Police Department has nearly 30 bicycles that have been abandoned, stolen, found or in some other way landed in its possession the past few years.
Now, the department wants to find the owners, officer Eric Bernier said in an e-mail.
Anyone who has lost a bicycle should call the department at 562-4517 to identify it.
Otherwise, sometime within the next few weeks the police department will hold a public auction to get rid of them. Proceeds will go toward the department’s Drug Abuse Resistance Education program in area schools.
