The Salvation Army of Lewiston-Auburn operates a mobile feeding truck that they call “The Canteen.” The truck has been all over Maine supporting emergency crews of many types at many different disaster sites. The Canteen also shows up at Kennedy Park in Lewiston on a regular basis, providing free lunches to those in need. The operation is run by volunteers and supplied by donations. Aaron’s Inc. of Lewiston recently donated a refrigerator for The Canteen when the old refrigerator stopped working. Pictured with the donation, from left, are Scott Giasson, account manager; Kerry Scott, product technician; Carlos Cortez, product technician; Scott Vickerson, sales manager, all of Aaron’s; and Lt. Jason Brake of the Salvation Army.
