WASHINGTON (AP) – The White House says President Barack Obama will outline his plan to help struggling homeowners on Wednesday.

Press secretary Robert Gibbs said Friday that the president will detail his ideas in a speech in Arizona.

Gibbs released no other details.

The move comes as part of a package of steps the administration is taking to help the staggering economy. Congress is moving toward final passage of the economic stimulus legislation. The Treasury Department has outlined in broad terms a plan to help stabilize the nation’s financial sector.
