Society picnic
OTISFIELD — The annual picnic of the Otisfield Historical Society will be held at noon Sunday, Aug. 15, at the Wisecarver home, 358 Cobb Hill Road.
Church event
SOUTH PARIS — South Paris Baptist Church invites children to a “High Seas Expedition” from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, Aug. 9 to 13.
Children will participate in Bible-learning activities, sing songs, play team-building games, dig into treats, experience Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies and create Bible point crafts to take home. Family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily for the Floating Finale at 8:05 p.m.

Loster bake
NAPLES — The Naples Grange will hold its second annual lobster bake from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, on the Village Green, rain or shine. Tickets are $25 and are available at www.GrangeLobsterBake.com, the 207Realty.com office and at Western Maine Dance and Gymnastics Studio in Bridgton.
There will be a Chinese auction, raffle and Maine products and services vendors. Entertainment will be provided by Olde Mill Tavern After Burners Band and Tux Burke.
Community breakfast
WATERFORD — The fourth and final Waterford community breakfast of the summer season will be from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, at the Wilkins Community House next to the church on Plummer Hill Road. The menu will include scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, doughnuts, freshly baked muffins, orange juice, coffee and tea. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children ages 5 to 10 and free for children under 5.
Attendees are invited to stop in to the Wilkins House basement yard sale while at the breakfast. Sale hours are from 7:30 to 11 a.m. New items will be featured.
Supper, dance
LOCKE MILLS — A supper and dance will be held from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, at the American Legion Hall. Music will be by the Wally Jones Orchestra. Doors will open at 4 p.m. Cost for adults, $10; children, $3.
