NORWAY — The Norway Business Association will host its annual fundraising auction at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, in the Beals parking lot, beside L.F. Pike’s Clothing on Main Street. A large amount of interesting items, old and new, gift certificates from area merchants and lots of fun will be available. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Christmas for Kids.

On Friday, Aug. 6, a collection of classic cars, street rods and hot rods will be featured during the Norway Main Street Cruisin’ Night in the Beals parking lot. There will be music, raffles, door prizes and free registration packets for the first 40 cars that sign in. Food and beverages will be for sale, a 50/50 raffle will benefit an automotive trades scholarship and the Lion’s Club Raffle Car will be part of the evening.

Immediately after the car show there will be an open mic night at Creative Media with hosts Anne and Al Mallory. Nate Towne, Al Mallory, Bob Wallace, Terri Sweet and Rusty Wiltjer will be among the local talent.

The “Sizzling Sidewalk Sale” will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, on Main Street. There will be artisans and crafters from the area in addition to sales and specials from Norway businesses.
